Hi, My name is Trevor Wittwer, owner and operator of this shindig, and I want to be the first welcome you to the Functional Fitness Boot Camp experience, this is not your ordinary gym.  I guarantee your results.

First before I get into why people are raving about the hottest thing to hit Redwood since McDonalds moved it, let me give you a little background into the Functional Fitness Boot Camp.  Mainly, my purpose behind its inception. Since I can remember I have been an athlete, most recently as a professional basketball player in Europe.  Being an athlete has allowed me some special privileges when it comes to training.  I have had the opportunity to work with some world-class coaches but also, at times due to numerous reasons, have been left to my own knowledge.  I have had great training partners and also spent a great deal of time on my own. How does this relate to you is probably what you are asking yourself right now but stick with me and I will connect the dots I promise.

My passion is health and fitness.  That is why I got my degree in the same field from a program accredited by the American College of Sports Medicine.  That is why I got certified by one of most prestigious organizations in the US, the National Strength and Conditioning Assocation and that is why I spent thousands of dollars learning how to be an elite nutrition coach from world-renowned expert, John Berardi, using his Precision Nutrition System.  As you can see, this is my life, and this is what I do.

Back to my story though.

As I reflected back on my athletic career, I realized the different times when I was the most successful.  When I had a coach, great training partners, and world class programming, I made leaps and bounds in my athletic career versus times when I was on my own.

How does this relate to you?

Well, as a personal trainer I am always looking for the fastest, most effective, and safest ways to get my clients results.  1 on 1 works but it’s too expensive and I am very limited on the number of people I can help.  I want to help as many people as possible.

Also, if my clients’ social system is not great when they are not with me, they are doomed to fail.  Peer pressure and a negative environment are sometimes too difficult to overcome. On the flip side, most people cannot afford person training, so they are left to their own vices or the latest and greatest infomercial tool (I know you have an ab cruncher tucked under your bed hoping to get those high school abs back).

These people are busy and don’t have time to workout, so often times it does simply get pushed to an eternal “tomorrow.”  Pretty soon the pounds creep up and you look in the mirror and wonder, “Where did all that come from?”

Again, you vow to lose some weight, try it on your own, probably are successful for awhile but then fall back into old ways.  For some, maybe even you, this happens time and again.

What is Functional Fitness Boot Camp All About?

Basically, Functional Fitness Boot Camp is a group exercise class based around movement, bodyweight, and bands.  You may also run into dumbbells, barbells, sleds, and TRX bands all in the name of keeping the workouts fresh, exciting, and results-driven.  The simple objective of the class is to get you looking better and feeling great.  Through this process you will see significant increases in strength, endurance, flexibility, range of motion, along with a whole host of health profile measures I don’t have room to write here.

Functional Fitness Boot Camp Overview

 

Who?

Functional Fitness Boot Camp is for busy women and men who want a results-driven, effective and efficient workout without having to worry about a thing.  Just show up, work out, and reap the benefits.  My program design uses a multi-level system to give the appropriate stimulus to ANY FITNESS LEVEL.  Advanced trainees will be drained right next to a beginner who will progress safely, effectively, and efficiently.  Both walk away with a sense of accomplishment and results you deserve from your workout.

What?

30 minute metabolic workouts targeting the entire body with a specific emphasis on those problem areas (inner thighs, love handles, triceps, etc…).  I utilize a hybrid design of strength exercises and cardio to maximize fat burn and muscle tone.  This revolutionary design allows us to get a great workout in 30 minutes, so you can get on with the rest of your life and burn fat while you sleep.

When?

5:30 am – Monday, Wednesday, Friday

6:30 am – Monday Wednesday, Friday

5:15 pm – Monday, Wednesday

6:15 pm – Monday, Wednesday

Where?

All classes are held at the Redwood Area Community Center in the field house.  This allows plenty of room to do just what our body needs, move.  You do NOT need to be a member of the community center to participate.

Why?

Because a healthy body and mind is priceless.  And, are you really going to get to the gym on a consistent basis on your own?  Plus, we have way more fun than any workout should be.  Did I mention, I play the hottest tunes and greatest oldies at every class?  Its like trainer, motivator, educator, and DJ all in one place.

FAQ’s

 

1. How long is each class?

Each class runs a minimum of 30 minutes although I encourage each client to come 15 minutes before class and stay 15 after class to work on their personal improvement routine developed during their Beginner Boot Camp.  My system is designed to produce tremendous results in 30 minutes.  The purpose of the workout is not solely to burn calories DURING the workout but to rev up your metabolism to burn an incredible amount of calories while you work, play, and sleep.

2. How much does it cost?

I offer a variety of options to accommodate everyone’s needs and budget.  Classes range from $8-$12 per class.  If you just want to come to a class every once in awhile it will cost $15/time.   I also provide discounts to family members of Functional Fitness members and students.
