Trevor Wittwer

I was born and raised in Redwood Falls.  I was gone for about a decade attending college at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN and playing basketball overseas in Germany.  I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Gustavus, with a BA in Health Fitness (pre-chiropractic) with a minor in coaching.

I got into training in part because of life-long enjoyment of being an athlete.  I strive to bring the inner-athlete out in everyone.  I wanted to help the community become healthy and active.  This whole “Functional Fitness” thing was my grand plan.  I love my job because of the “ah-ha” moments and client breakthroughs.  It’s a great feeling knowing that I am helping this world become a healthier place.

I own a business, so it keeps my “hobbies” to a minimum.  I am, however, a life-long learner.  I constantly read books & listen to podcasts that relate to training, exercise & nutrition.  I like to incorporate my new findings into our programming at Functional Fitness.  It keeps things interesting for our clients and allows me to keep up on the latest research.

Interesting Facts about Trevor:

Fact 1:  In my 3 years playing professional basketball in Werne, Germany, I won a league championship playing professional basketball in Germany.  I was dubbed “The Warrior” by my head coach.

Fact 2:  I had to sleep alone in an outdoor train station in Dortmund, Germany, in the middle of winter like a homeless person because I was, in fact, homeless for the night.

    Hey Trevor,

I wanted to thank you for the conversation last week. It was great to talk with another passionate fitness pro and business owner! It sounds like Britt was offered a position with your team, she was very excited.

You mentioned you had an uncle with a cabin on Mill Lake. Do you know the next time you will be around our area? If so we should set up a little time to meet up.

      Mike –

It was great speaking with you as well.

The earliest I know off hand will be the fourth of July week/weekend. We get up there every now and then when we have a free weekend. I will make sure to give you a head’s up before we come up next and hopefully we can meet up.
