I was born in Redwood Falls and moved to Alexandria, MN when I was 5 years old. I met my husband, Adam, right after graduating high school in 2002. Now, 13 years later, we are happily married with 4 amazing children: Abby (11), Luke (8), Emma (5), and Will (4).
I recently earned her AAS degree in Health and Fitness from the Alexandria Technical and Community College, and am working on finishing my BS in Exercise Science from Moorhead State University.
I am a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and have obtained a Weight Loss Specialist certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) to aid in my passion for working with weight loss and behavior change.
To piggyback this, I am near completion for her Level I Precision Nutrition coaching certification. I am also CPR/AED and First Aid certified through the American Heart Association. And most recently, I have gained an orthopedic certification through the American Council of Exercise (ACE), and a Baseline Training Certification through the Fitness Revolution.
I have ran 2 half marathons and numerous 5k’s, 10k’s, and 10 mile races. I broadened my horizons by competing in a powerlifting competition in 2014 – I wasn’t the heaviest lifter, but wow the atmosphere and camaraderie felt that day were unforgettable! I’ve also gone on 2 annual weekend long guided trail running trips up on the technical terrains of Duluth- covering 25+ miles of crazy fun! I like to always have a personal goal for myself to train towards- it keeps things exciting and new!
Best Part About my Job
Watching the life changing moments when clients go from viewing fitness and personal health as something they “have” to do, to something they “want” to do! Once this transformation happens – crazy awesome things start to happen- physically and emotionally. The confidence radiates and its contagious!
